"We have been the recipient of the used soccer equipment you have been bringing down to the city.  I wanted to drop you a follow up note to let you know how much the equipment and clothing has been appreciated by the children who use our recreation centers.  Earlier this month, we started soccer academies at 3 of our afterschools.  When I went to the Highbridge site on the first day, I realized that there were some children who didn’t have gym shorts---so I went with one of my staff to the storage room and pulled out some of the boxes you had brought us. I personally brought them some clothes for their next session and it was as if I had taken them to Barneys…They were thrilled.

Many of us take for granted that we are going to be outfitted with new clothes and gear.  It is so thoughtful that your soccer players have taken the time to collect their used gear and pass it onto other children who can use it.  I wanted you to know that it is going to VERY good use. "
