1) Donate Your Equipment

Have any old cleats, jerseys, soccer balls lying around the house? Well don’t let them just sit there unused and definitely don’t throw them away. Donate them to SEND! It’s easy: just drop off your equipment at one of our drop-off locations. We’ll accept all types of soccer equipment at any point during the year. Donate to SEND and allow those less fortunate to enjoy the sport we play and love.

 2) Get Involved in SEND

Regardless of whether you’re a student, player, administrator, or community member, we’re always looking for volunteers to help support our charity. There are several ways to get involved at various levels of commitment. Here are a couple of suggestions, though we’d love to hear your ideas (info@SENDcharity.org).

Students: We need help keeping an eye on the SEND receptacles and donated equipment. Become a SEND Delegate by representing the school you attend or live near. It's a simple task but integral to SEND's functioning and success. Responsibilities include: ensuring the visibility and upkeep of the SEND receptacle bins at your school and notifying a SEND Supervisor when bins are sufficiently full and equipment is ready for pick-up.

Administrators: SEND's success is dependent upon our community's awareness of the program. As a member of the public school system, you are a valuable resource necessary to help us inform students and families about this wonderful charity. Help support our cause by including SEND notices in your schools' newsletters, mailings and websites. SEND notices and mailers can be provided upon request. Additionally, we need help ensuring that your school's SEND receptacles are visible and their location known by all faculty & staff.

Players & Families: In addition to donating your surplus equipment, help us spread the word! It is important to always be on the lookout for opportunities to remind others about the program. Whether you are on the field, playing informally with friends, rooting from the sidelines, or shopping for new equipment, keep us in mind!

Coaches: Coaches are the most valuable resource SEND has for promoting the program. Spending the most time with players and families you are in a unique position to suggest a donation to SEND whenever the discussion turns to equipment. Just a simple reminder from you may be all it takes.

Soccer Leagues:
As the foundation of the soccer program, League Administration needs to:

  • Instill in its coaches complete support for the program
  • Include announcements and reminders in League notices and websites
  • Allow receptical bins at tournaments

Businesses: As a local business, you have the opportunity to partner with SEND by serving as an equipment drop-off location. Support a great cause while driving traffic to your store. If you're a soccer, athletic or shoe store feel free to contact us at info@SENDcharity.org to get involved.

If your League or Community is not currently a Partner of SEND and would like to become one, click here.

3) Make a Financial Contribution

Soccer Equipment Neighborhood Drive (SEND) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. Your support our efforts to bring equipment and joy to those less fortunate is most valuable and appreciated. The contributions to SEND are of course tax-deductible. Contact info@SENDcharity.org to donate.
